About CAM

Christian Aftercare Ministries was founded by a dedicated group of Christian volunteers who actively served within New Hampshire's jails and prisons. Motivated by a strong desire to support individuals transitioning from incarceration, the ministry was born.

Our vision and mission is to help connect
people to faith

Christian Aftercare Ministries is dedicated to preventing and / or breaking the criminal and / or self-destructive patterns of behavior common to at-risk individuals (offenders and ex-offenders), through a variety of Bible-based services.

Services are available to those who have been incarcerated in New Hampshire Adult Prison facilities and who will be living in NH upon release.

Services

CAM seeks, through Bible-based counseling, employment services, needs-based assistance, and Bible-based spiritual guidance, to assist the at-risk individual in his or her development of their relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

As the person coming out of prison fulfills the program’s requirements, CAM will function as “a resource center” by providing referrals to other agencies and maintaining an inter-agency network to provide for their needs of at-risk individuals (offenders and ex-offenders), as well as their families.

 Primary Goal

    The primary goal of CAM is to reconcile the individual with Jesus Christ, then with themselves, their families, and with society.

    Using Biblical principles, we will facilitate the growth of offenders into productive and responsible Christian members of the community. In addition, it is CAM’s goal to provide:
*   Pre-release counseling
 *  A link to local churches for those in need
 * Bible counseling referrals for those with addictions
 * Support and accountability groups

CAM’s Central Aim

CAM’s central aim is to initiate a profound reconciliation journey. This begins with reconnecting individuals to Jesus Christ, leading to self-discovery, inner harmony, and renewed self-worth. It extends to restoring family relationships through healing and understanding. CAM also focuses on equipping individuals for successful reintegration into society, empowering them to contribute positively while breaking free from past constraints. In essence, CAM’s goal is to foster comprehensive reconciliation that uplifts individuals, families, and society as a whole.

Director Paul Roussel has written a book titled “Breaking Out of Prison with Jesus.” The book chronicles the ministry since its inception in 1994 and includes how the ministry started, how the Lord has blessed financially, success stories, importance of Prayer, answered Prayer and the path forward.
